Report of the 2013 Election Committee

Article IX of the By-Laws of the organization designates the Election Committee as responsible for the conduct of the election of new members of the Board of Trustees. The members of the 2013 Election Committee were appointed on March 11, 2013.

The Election Committee posted a call for nominations on the open mailing list and Facebook page of Mensa Philippines. The deadline for accepting nominations was set to April 15, 2013.

A total of five nominations were submitted to the Election Committee. In the order the nominations were received, the nominees were:

1.    Bernardino, Zuriel C.
2.    Gutierrez, Kalangitan R.
3.    Villa, Melvin L.
4.    Tan, Christopher U.
5.    Singson, Eleanor D.

As the number of eligible nominees is equal to the number of Board positions to be filled, the Election Committee, in accordance with Article IX, Section 2, of the Bylaws, hereby declare all five nominees named above as duly elected new members of the Board of Trustees. They will serve a two-year term which will end in 2015.

There is no expense incurred in this year’s election.
