Beachineering in Quezon Province!

One weekend of roughing it – no cars, no aircon, no fancy resorts. And
we promise you will get sunburned…at least to some degree.

We’re calling all the adventurous souls of Mensa to join us on Feb 16,
2013 as we explore Borawan, Puting Buhangin and Dampalitan beaches in
Quezon Province for Php 900* only!

Borawan
is called as such because of its beauty that is said to combine 2
of the best beaches in the country – the white sandy beaches of
Boracay, and the limestone rock formations of Palawan.

Dampalitan beach has an Anawangin/Nagsasa Cove vibe feel to it with pine
trees, but interspersed with palm trees. We can pitch a tent and stay
there for the night. (You may rent a cottage, too, but that’s not as fun
as being in a tent or a hammock)

Puting Buhangin has the whitest beach of the three and has a cave we can explore called Kwebang Lampas.

If you think we know the place well, we don’t. It’s an adventure for us,
too.  And since these beaches are not well-known yet, expect a virgin
(or almost virgin) beach. And it’s quite possible that we’ll be the only
ones there!

Sign up quickly cause we’ll only be accepting entries up to
Feb 9!

We also recommend those who will sign up to attend a pre-trip
orientation on Feb 9, 2013. Venue is the Coffee Academy, 3rd floor, CCA (Cravings), 287 Katipunan, Quezon City, right after the Mensa Brown Bag event. We will gladly guide you on what
to pack, how to pack and other essential things you have to know for
this trip. As a downpayment, please prepare P500 on the day of the
orientation.

Leaving your comfort behind might be too much, but remember, sometimes it doesn’t have to be fun to be fun.
